The invention relates to foundry, in particular, to improvements in the formation of blocks of casting cores, such as, for example, used to cast cylinder blocks of engines or other machines that are provided by an optimal connection between several cores that make up the block without the risk of deviations size, and fast, simple and highly efficient operational process. The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of the rod and simplify the process of joining its parts. FIG. 1 shows a part of a rod; in fig. 2 - the rod of the parts shown in FIG. one; in fig. 3-rod with a longitudinal groove filled with molding sand; in fig. 4 - cylinder block for a six-cylinder engine; in fig. 5 — rod corresponding to two cylinder blocks for a four-cylinder engine; 6 shows rods that form the engine cylinders and the cooling sleeve; in fig. 7 - molding machine for filling longitudinal grooves with molding sand. The cylinder block consists of parts 1 having grooves 2 filled with molding sand 3. The configurations of the parts are given as an example and can vary depending on the final configuration of the core block in accordance with the casting to be obtained. On the basis of the parts 1 having the grooves 2, the usual assembly shown in FIG. 2, where the corresponding grooves of each rod form one continuous continuous longitudinal groove, i.e. form a block similar to the usually made block of rods from parts 1. The grooves 2 of each part have a narrowing of 5 or another irregular shape in the middle part to avoid a constant section of the groove. Moreover, the grooves 2 have a larger section in the bottom 6, than in the top 7, i.e. a dovetail type joint is obtained, which provides greater strength and rigidity of the rod.
